SeAscape started providing rent deposit guarantees in 1999. At that time the scheme was operated entirely by volunteers and was based in an office at Ayr Auld Kirk but clients had to be seen outwith the office.
The first employees started work in 2001 and the organisation moved to more appropriate office premises. Within a short time a tenancy support service was developed and in 2006 a Befriending Service was introduced to support our other services.
There are now twelve employees, although some work part-time, and approximately 20 volunteers and Board Members. The expansion of our work made a further move necessary and all of our services moved to offices in Old Bridge Street, Ayr.
Now that Big Lottery funding has backed the scheme we have been able to move to more suitable accommodation in 8 Barns Street, Ayr. KA7 1XA
